A colegue of mine receintly positioned that Hybred cars have a higher carbon foot print then inefficient gas guzzlers like a Hummer. This is based on the proposition that life cycle of the Hybred batteries has a very high carbon foot print, including, initial minining, production and disposal. I happen to have a Hybred and would like to know if there is any scientific research on this this question?
