I have a 2009 Prius with factory 195-55-16 skins and want to NOT use the low profile rubber when I replace them shortly. No one, including the dealer can give me a difinitive answer as to what tire(s) I can install on my car.

    I drive a 2005 Prius. It

I drive a 2005 Prius. It now has 199,850 miles on it. I drive mostly highway driving. I try to change my oil between 3,000 and 4,500 miles of driving. When I change my oil, I rotate my tires. It is done free of charge at my Toyota dealer. The tires that came with my car originally got 95,000 miles. I am just replacing my second set of tires after having driven almost 104,000 miles on them. These last tires and the ones I am now going to put on are Yokihama Avid TRZ 185/65-15. They are supposed to go 80,000 miles. I keep my tire pressure where it should be and rotate my tires OFTEN. I think rotating your tires often helps with their longevity. I would also guess that I am not a hard driver. I have also only had to replace my brakes once in this car. I love my 2005 Prius.

    I'm not at this point

I'm not at this point concerned about the wear/mileage... I want to get rid of the low profile sidewall to hopefully get a little better ride and because the 55's are a more expensive tire.

the second at 30,000 (14,000 miles later). My Integrities are looking good with 45,000 on the odometer (15,000 miles of wear), and they cost half as much. Best eCommerce Hosting

    It's May 2012 and I've been

It's May 2012 and I've been driving a 2010 Prius V Model since December 2010. I currently have 82,000+ miles on the original set of tires.........Bridgestone Turanza, P215/45R17 87V. Although I still have plenty of tread remaining, I should be able to achieve 100,00K before the end of the year. At every synthetic oil change (12-15K miles), I ROTATE AND BALANCE THE TIRES.
I was thinking of changing brands to get a somewhat softer ride. However, after reading several comments, I think I'll stay with the Bridgestones. Don't get me wrong, this tire is quiet and smooth on smooth roads. For the skeptics, most of my driving is on freeways and Interstate roads at speeds 60-80 mph. Mileage fluctuates between 48-51.

    The First Hybrid Evaluating

The First Hybrid Evaluating prototype locomotive was designed and contracted by rail research center MATRAI in 1999 and the sample was ready in 2000. it was a G12 locomotive that was converted to hybrid by using a 200KW diesel generator and batteries and also was equipped with 4 AC traction motors (out of 4) retrofited in the cover of the DC traction motors.wrongful death lawyers

    I have a 2008 Prius 5..came

    I have a 2008 Prius 5..came with 17x7.5" rims and Toyo MS z rated tires 205-45x R17..
After 58.8k care free miles it was time to change them this Nov...not at the wear markers but nearly so...
Went to COSTCO. they put Bridgestone POTENZA Grid G019...Mileage dropped from 47-48 for mixed city country driving 58 mph max 35 mph min..for all 58+k miles to 41 mpg.....re alignment front and reat ( had alignment shop put in shims in the rear as Toyota would only say it was out out of spec and how much...no fix.)
COSTCO is taking back the POTRENZA's.
Costco has no ECOPIA tires that will fit...(205 45x 17) but the new Prius uses 215 45x17...will these fit and will they work?
