should i fix my 2007 toyota hybrid?

It has 140,000 miles on it. I was in an accident and while it was sitting at a wrecker lot i guess there was a misunderstanding and they thought that i wasn\\\'t going to want the car anymore and they got into it and sold the ABS Actuator. When i went in to ask about it they told me that every time a hybrid car is in a wreck that part automatically has to be replaced. IS THIS TRUE? I was hit in the driver passenger side so the motor didn\\\'t have any impact whatsoever. A new actuator part at toyota is running 1450.00... and i heard that i could get a used one for about 800.00... Is it worth it for me to fix this car?

Have you checked with a Toyota Service Department? I wouldn\'t take the word from a wrecker lot that had already TAKEN YOURS. This sound like a scam to me. They probably sold the ABS Actuator because it was worth some money.
