"I have footage shot on the Canon EOS C300. i have downloaded the AMA plug in but

unable to play. I have noticed other posts regarding this issue, but none seem to

    have been resolved. Any clues."

This question is asked by a C300 user, in the forum, many people got problems when

they want to edit C300 MXF footages in Avid MC. The most reason of the problem is

that the C300 video codec is not supported by AMC, so if you want to get yourself

out of the trouble and meet no problem while importing Canon MXF to Avid MC, you

have to find a professional and powerful MXF to Avid DNxHD converter, applying

which you can convert and deinterlace Canon C300 1080i MXF to DNxHD, the compatible

video format for Avid MC, on Mac OS X without any video and audio problem, thus

your Mac and Avid Media Composer can recognize your C300 footages.

it is designed with some useful editing features, including deinterlacing 1080i

text/video/image watermark to your recordings, etc. Follow the listed guide on MXF

to Avid DNxHD conversion, and you can put your MXF footages in Avid MC without any

    importing problem.

Step 1: Get Pavtube MXF Converter for Mac, launch it to add your Canon C300 MXF

Step 2: Click on “ Format” and you will get a dropdown menu , then move you

pointer to Avid Media Composer > Avid DNxHD(*.mov).

Step 3: Adjust codec, bitrate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the

interface in Profile Settings by clicking Settings on the main interface according

to your needs to optimize the output file quality. If you have no special

requirement, the step can be skipped.

For most quick video format conversions I turn to \"convert m2ts\". It handles most of the stuff I want to do when I don't want to get into the details of demuxing and encoding.

The most direct solution to solve the issues above is to convert MXF files to mainstream formats, such as convert MXF to MP4, convert MXF to MOV, convert MXF to AVI, convert MXF to WMV, MKV, FLV, WebM, etc, so that you can handle MXF files on most popular players, editors and portable devices.
So a MXF Converter is needed. Unlike other paid converter, it is a powerful but easy-to-use FREE HD video conversion software.
