IMPORTANT (unofficial) Trouble Shooting Update: Diagnosis of IMA Battery Problem(s)
can best be done ONLY by your Authorized Honda Dealer's repair shop.
Getting your DTC error/trouble codes read at Autozone or even by a full serviceIindependent Honda
Repair Shop....could end-up with
YOU replacing your IMA battery when the actual problem might
something far less expensive to fix.
Disclaimer: My car is a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. Learned the above by dealing with
two very recent 'IMA Battery Problems.'

Brent. I'm having the same
Brent. I'm having the same issues as you are. I have a 2007 HCH with 40,000 miles on it. I am a huge hypermiler and used to be able to get 45 in the city and 58+ on the highway no problem. now i can barely maintain 36 in the city. the state of charge indicator fluctuates wildly discharging at least once everytime i drive the car. I am from washington, DC.
I realize your comment is two years old. hopefully you see this. have you since figured a solution to your problem?

My 2003 hybrid has about
My 2003 hybrid has about 33000 miles. The IMA light had gone on when the gas cap had not been replaced properly. The Honda dealer reset the IMA light and Honda updated the software for some undisclosed reason except that it needed an update. Less than one month later the IMA went on again and the dealer said that the battery was going bad. At this time I was told that the batteries last about 10 years. When I bought the car I was told to expect a 100,000 mile life for these batteries.
