    More fuel efficient cars in

    More fuel efficient cars in the 1980's - tighter smog control emmisions equipment sucked us dry of MPG so why the air is definitely cleaner these days it came at a price, lower MPG. Growing up in Los Angeles we were custom to daily smog alerts in the 1970's and 80's. Today most teenagers wouldn't even know what a smog alert is. In short, I think made progress was made.........

    I too am in the market for a hybrid, I cannot seem to find any reviews that show the number of miles one can drive on a full electrical charge? That is almost as important o me as MPG.

    that were in the top 50 MPG ... 8 to be exact. Think about that ... in 16 years of cars, 1989, the OLDEST OF THOSE YEARS has more cars in the top 50 MPG than ANY OTHER YEAR AFTERWARDS ... TuxNews
