    Solar Panel Roof

    Hello, a newbe here,

How come that nobody is using built-in solar panels in the car roof? They could feed the a/c and also charge the batteries. Would be nice to be able to have the a/c running while you are shopping in the summer, plus it would increase fuel economy if the a/c was disconnected from the motor.

Really not huge fan of these panels.. They are very expensive with little efficiency.. Really hope these panels will become more effective in future..

I am still not sure how good these panels are? Solar energy is very effective but less efficient..

The idea of using the solar panel on the car roof is quite very useful, but does it possible to setting it without changing the appearances of car?

I wonder about this too. what will it look like if i try to fit a few solar panels on my roof. will it give enough power?

I don't think so that's gonna having a bit of an impact onto rides efficiency and overall battery consuming sort of stuff. As with placing solar panel why not let battery power do the work for that ride. Why too much overloading.

With the average weight of solar panels being around 2-3 pounds per square foot, I dont see why this wouldnt be possible and as long as they are flush with the rest of the car you dont have to worry about the drag. I do have to agree with the a/c running to keep a cool car would be very nice!
