Is Saturn touting a phony award?
Created April 16, 2007, at 10:52 am by SteveC
Hello all,
I see the Saturn ads where they brag about winning North American car of the year. I went to the Saturn website to see if I could find out who gave them this award and could not find out. Does anyone know who gave Saturn this award they are bragging about in their commercials. I think it's a phony award they gave themselves. If anyone can prove me wrong I'd like to hear from them.
Regards,
Steve

Nope. It's a legitimate award. Check it out here:

Not that politics aren't a part of the process, but it looks like Saturn has made some real progress in offering European-style semi-luxury features in an affordable car. The Aura Green Line may be worth taking a look, if you don't want to spend the few extra bucks on a Camry or Altima--or must have the extra room over the Prius or Civic Hybrid.
