Prius future resale value

With all the new hybrids and especially the 2006 civic coming out, it would seem that the prius now has some good competition. They sell at a premium now, but what about in a year or so? I wonder if we pay premium for one now, will the resale value not be as much, even within the next year?

If they keep dropping on the freeway like the Prius's and continue to not deliver the fuel economy....they'll be good recycling material...well maybe not even that with the batteries!

The "fuel economy" argument against hybrids is tired. Try something else.
