Prius: Disconnecting Warning Beeps

Has anyone found a shortcut, or an L.A. dealer, that can disconnect the warning beeps for the front passenger seat, when you have to put a briefcase or such there, or the backup camera beeping?

Love the new car, but the beeping, especially the front passenger seatbelt warning beeping when there is no passenger, but my briefcase [I use the seat as a desk between sales calls] -- is driving me mad!

Do you have some wire cutters? Look under the seat...

Good question, Ed.

I suffer Migraine headaches, which causes acute sound sensitivity, and the backup peeping is torture at those times.

Has anyone found a serious answer to turning off the beeping?

One would think on such a well designed car, the owner would have the option of controlling, if the nothing else, the volume on such a loud feature.
