Hybrid cars in extreme heat?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid which i purchased new. I'm planning on moving to southern florida for work in a few months and I've been hearing some negative things about hybrid battery life in areas with extreme heat?
Has anyone heard of this or had first hand experience with the battery life in a hot climate? Does anyone know if the Prius with the solar roof ventilation is of any help in extending battery life (if heat is indeed a battery killer)?
I love my car, but I'd rather trade it up north if I have to. If heat causes problems, I'll probably get a much better price for it where the battery life is better.
