Oil Change/maintenance for FEH

Created December 17, 2005, at 2:02 pm by Anonymous

Quick question for other FEH owners...I have my 15,000 maintenance coming up. Went to the dealer for my 10,000 and it seemed like nothing special...just over-priced. I miss my wonderful mechanic. Can I/should I be able to take my hybrid in to him? Is there anything important he should know about oil grade or tire pressure? I know some of you guys do your own maintenance. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks,
Joan

The oil change is no big deal as long as he sticks with the approved parts and oil.

Tires - 35-44psi depending on ride and Fuel Efficency

There are limits with regard to shop manuals your mechanic may not have. Just changing the air filter can cause problems if he disconnects the wrong connections.

Joan, it may be because your not a member of yahoo FEH. Go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/hybrid_ford_escape/

and look at FILES for oil change. Alot of good info at yahoo above. You may have to join.
