Native Hybrids vs. Remake Hybrids?
Created June 5, 2006, at 10:12 am by Anonymous
Can you identify which hybrids are "native" built from the ground up as a hybrid vs. those that are built on top of existing makes. Our understanding is that the natives are far more functional than the remakes but would love someone to establish the facts. Thanks a ton, if this already exists on the site, please advise how to find it.

Honda's Insight was pretty much new design from the ground up; the first Toyota Prius somewhat less so. Everything else is recognizably an existing / previous design with new innards.
