This is the kind of car I want to see in the US. A clean diesel engine with a proper manual transmission, and the best of the "hybrid" technology to compliment it. Getting 72mpg what's not to like???
They sure try hard to deny that this is a hybrid although it certainly gets a lot of the benefit of a hybrid. If they made it a real hybrid, it could probably get close to 100 mpg.
