Hybku (Hybrid Poetry) Contest

Hybrid city drive
Through traffic: stop, slow and go
Buy gas once a month

I love my hybrid
Fifty miles per gallon
In the car pool lane

Gas AND electric
The best of both worlds
Clever, these car folks

Clean air shrinking fast
hybrids drive so we survive
poison breeds through much greed

Hummers are bummers
They suck up all air, unfair
hybrids clean and care

Scratch last post it wasnt five seven five

Fuel economy
sucking us high, gas is dry
electric survive

thats better

These are a little depressing but I'll try to remedy that next time.....if I have can.

SUV drivers:
What is that sad sound I hear?
Soldiers are dying.

SUV drivers:
What is that new sound I hear?
Children have asthma.

SUV drivers:
Why can you not change your ways?

No pollution around me

Hybrids we should contemplate
fuel for the debate

together, a car.

Perhaps it exists
The choice between hate and love
I choose hybrid hope.

Elegant lines slim
My gentle motor hums within
Prescious air outside.

You are less than you
Large SUV next to me
Were meant to believe

I drive through suburbs.
Children playing in the streets.
Guilt is of the past.

Prius gets strange looks
People ask where I plug in
But I don't

what might be that noise?
I strain to listen what you hear
It is silence, I reply

Pressing the button
Eagerly coming to life
The journey begins

I drive a hybrid
I don't fatten the wallets
of the Arab sheikhs

Start up in silence
Pull away from the driveway
Hear leaves and twigs crunch

I drive a Focus
Even though Ford Escape is big
I'm really better

Guzzling Gas Again
Hewing Oaks with Acid Rain
Hybrids Ease the Pain

Rode my bike today
Hybrid waits in the garage
I'm doing my part.

I drive my Hybrid
Ha ha Mr. President
No more war me me!

Riding on my bike,
I don't need no stinkin' oil
Hybrid don't use much

Civic's my Hybrid
Xtracycle on my bike
Am I cool or what?

Sharing with the poor
Dollars not spent on fills ups
Do unto others.

Almost as fun as driving
Very addictive
