HOV Sticker w/AZ License?

I commute into L.A. twice a week, and I'm wondering if I buy a Prius in L.A., and leave it at the L.A. office for when I fly in, will I be able to get an HOV sticker for it, with an AZ license?

I noted the online HOV app asks for DL#, but I didn't see where it said the license had to be CA.

Has anyone gotten a sticker on a hybrid bought in CA, with your out of state license?

I strongly suspect you won't get away with this [grin] but you need to ask the DMV. And let us know what they say.
