Honda Hybrid Civic or Toyota Prius

I'm looking at both of these. I live in the foothills of the Catskills (long winters, snow) - does anyone have an opinion about winter driving and which would be better? thanks!

I'm in the same debate too, though I live in more temperate climates (ATL). I have heard that the 2006 Prius will come with some sort of "thermos" device that will keep the engine warmer when it is not in use. Being able to wake up in the morning and start a semi-warm engine in the Prius would be a huge advantage for you.
