Gasoline Quality

I have noticed that when I put Shell (87oct) in my HCH, I actually get 5MPG+ over putting in BP. I have also heard that BP is a lower quality gasoline. Has anybody noticed this or with other Oil companies?

Also, does anybody know of (or own) a hybrid that can run on E85, a fairly new fuel that is making its debut in many states (15% gasoline 85% ethanol)?
