Gas Mileage Impact Calculator- Compare your vehicle

Hi!
I was banging around the site and ran into this:

If you haven't used it, do it. I was surprised that the Hybrids actually put out more smog (and other pollution) than some non-hybrids. "Some" being the key word, obviously hybrids beat out most vehicles, but it was interesting non-the-less. It was nice to see a side by side comparison with all that information. I got sucked in and started comparing a bunch of different vehicles to the HCH.
Definitely worth checking it out.

Good point. However which gas-only cars did you compare the HCH-2 to?
The Toyota Prius and the HCH-2 are the two cleanest cars available on the North America market today. The HCH-II is actually a little cleaner than the Prius when it comes to smog forming emissions since it is rated as a Tier 2/Bin 2 which is a step below that of a pure electric vehicle. The Prius is a Tier 2/Bin 3. Most gas-only cars (if not all) are Tier 2/Bin 5 and many SUV's are even worse.
However, it may be possible to find a car that is much, much smaller than the HCH-2 which also has lower emissions. I am just not of aware of any such micro car for sale in North America that can beat HCH-2 or the Prius in this department.
