fuel door

I'm down to the last few squares on fuel gage, and stoped for gas but lever on floor by drivers door will not allow fuel door to open.. I've tryed tapping on the door but luck.. can some one help??

I have had this happen to me. The spring clip is bent or broken so that the latch releases, but the door does not move. If possible, get someone to pull up and hold the release lever while you take your fingers or a paper clip (or a suction cup) and pull on the door. This is very easy and no force is needed, just a little effort to get a grip on the edge of the gas door.
