FORD TO GO 40% HYBRID BY 2010

I have recently been reading about the plants and staff cuts Ford is making in order to reorganize and was wondering if anyone else has heard of Ford turning to Hybrid technology
in a strong way (40% by 2010) to compete with Toyota.

I'd love it if it were true.... but, that seems highly unlikely, unless they are figuring their sales/production of big SUVs etc. will fall so much that they will be a smaller, company with lots of hybrid and pickups?

Truth is Ford has had a good run, but sometimes things just gotta end/change...
