Is there a way to find out how many Altima hybrids Nissan has sold to date? I found their monthly sales reports on their website http://www.nissannews.com/corporate/news/current/20070301104940.shtml (where it says that in Feb 2007 they sold 22,114 Altimas - nice!) but it didn't indicate what subset of that were Hybrids.
Obviously from a tax standpoint we're ok until they hit 60000 units, and that won't be in the 2007 model year, but it would be good to be able to keep an eye on it so that we know how much time we have before that tax benefit takes a hit.

"Nissan’s new Altima Hybrid, on sale in only eight states, posted 206 units in its first month of sales. That represented 0.9% of all Altimas sold in all 50 states."
Don't know how they know...

Generally they base it on the number of registrations through DMV.
