Engine oil on IMA electric motor cover drain

Created December 3, 2008, at 1:57 pm by Oleg

Hello!
I've got HCH 2003. While changing oil in the engine I noticed that IMA electric motor drain cover was oily. Also there was a little oil on the ground that came from this cover. Is it OK?

It looks like you should have your car looked at by a technician. Without looking at it, the most common issue leading to oil leaks of that nature is a leaking gasket/seal.

Can you trace the oil leak? Does the oil staining travel all the way up the side of the engine block?

Cheers;

There is a picture of drain cover-part №2(OEM: 1A226-PHM-300) on the link - http://s59.radikal.ru/i166/0812/7e/7a7123ab6280.jpg or http://ifolder.ru/9378066. It was oily. Drops of oil was on groove of drain cover. If these is surplus which lubricates of IMA electric motor?

I don´t know about this but it looks like you should repair your car. When I have these problems I immediately talk with a friend of mine, who offers Class B Motorhome for sales for sale. I strongly advise you to take your HCH to a service.

I guess this is an unusual malfunction. While I was working at an used car dealers Ft Lauderdale company I noticed that HCH had a strong endurance on the field. Of course, damages can happen anytime.
