eBox pure EV test drive

AC Propulsion has rolled out it's new eBox, a production conversion of the Toyota Scion xB. I tried it out last week and can attest that it is a hot, practical performer that gets effectively well over 150 mpg (well-to-wheels). At US$70,000, it's pretty pricey right now but early adopters who are interested in getting something while leading the future now have a zippy, 5 seat, 140 - 180 mile range, 90 mph option available.
Another tester last week published a detailed review in EVWorld (http://www.evworld.com/view.cfm?section=article&storyid=1084) with a lot of details so I won't go further into it.
I'll add that this isn't quite as polished or fast as the Tesla but it truly is a production vehicle. With the possible exception of long-cross country trips over 300 miles, it looks quite viable for most people's transportation needs.
