Delivery Delay

My dealer just told me that the delivery of the first Hybrids to the dealers has been delayed about a month until end of September or beginning of October.

Anyone else hear this?

Well, that is not a delay. Production starts 8/2/2004 in K.C. Dealers have known this for months. What state are you in? Most dealers won't see one until mid 1st qtr. 2005.

I have ordered a Ford Escape Hybrid. I'm in NJ and have recieved a VIN from my dealer. I called ford and they told me that my car is scheduled to be built (based on my VIN) the week of 10/4/04. Note I ordered my car in July.

Hi- Hope others are starting to get their Escape Hybrids by now. I ordered mine from a Clayton GA dealer mid-July and I took delivery on 10-08-04. It's a little slow coming up my mountain but I love it.
