can run the HCH without the trunk battery ??

hello everyone
iam from jordan, & hybrid cars just new here.
so there is no maintenance yet, so wanna ur advice in such cars (HCH 05) i already have civic 2001, its perfect, i love it, so y not hybrid !!!
the main questions:
1- if the battery ( the one in trunk) can the car move in petrol engine alone ?
2- how much is the new & second hand battery ?
3- what is the prices range for 2005?
