California extended warranty

I know that California requires an extended warranty on hybrid batteries, but is it available from out of state dealers if I live in California? I live on the CA-NV border and the closest dealerships are all in NV. I don't trust the dealers themselves to tell me.

Will the car be registered in CA...If so, call the DMV and ask them.
Also call the manufacture`s customer service line and ask them too.
You could also call the CA B.A.R.(bureau of automotive repair) Association for more info.
