Both catalytic converters have gone bad...easy to change?

Hello Forum Friends,
I have a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid with 217k on the engine. No engine, battery, etc...problems. I am up for inspection but I failed my inspection so the dealer of course wants 2200 to replace the catalytic converters since they stated they were both shot but after rebuilding a 67 mustang in my earlier days seems like just a parts change which I can easily do. Anything I need to be aware of before I start to turn a wrench on my Civic? Looks like parts will come to around 500. That's both CC and bolts and gaskets. I value your feedback. Tks.

It's been a few weeks since you posted. Did you manage to replace them? If so, how much did it cost, and was it difficult?
Mine are shot, too (174k mi, so they're out of warranty).
