Better to wait for 2007 Highlander?

I'm very unhappy with the way the local SoCal dealers are adding unwanted dealer installed options like leather to make more profit over promised MSRP.

Can anyone advise when the 2007 Ford Escape hybrid will go on the market.

And will there be anything new/different/improved with it?

I'm wondering whether to buy 2006 now or wait for a 2007.

Most dealers will already have their vehicles by now or very soon and keep them garaged until about Labor Day....and then bring them out....they are announcing some of the new vehicles that are coming now on the news...but not saying they are here yet ...I just asked an old car dealer ;-)

Hope they announce the "new" 2007 Highlander soon. Other manufactures are releaseing 2007 products now. Toyota, if in fact the Highlander will, as I suspect, be redesigned, is waiting too long to release it.

The 2007 Highlander is already being produced. There are no major changes announced.Look for it at dealerships in Sept.. Toyota brings out their new cars in March.Look for the new Highlander to come out in March as the all new 2008.

Seems rediculous that they would put out a 2007 model in Sept/Oct then totally redesign and release 2008 in March.

Will the "old design" 2007 highlander depreciate in value more rapidly as soon as the "new design" 2008 models arrive?

I am driving a 2007 Toyota Highlander. Just got it 9/2/2006 here in Las Vegas having special ordered it. It came from the Long Beach, Ca port/plant. It looks just like the 2006 model.

It's the fully loaded 4WD-i V6 limited with Nav system. The sticker price was considerably less than the comparable 2006 model and I was able to get it below sticker price at Findlay Toyota of Henderson Nevada. Excellent dealership to work with considering most dealerships are selling hybrids above sticker price.

And again, it's the 2007 model.

YES, they will ,It always seems to happen. But toyotas seem to be the least affected.

Yes, It will most likely come out as a 2008 in March, as they did with the 2007 Camry out in March 2006.
I am surprised there have not been any spied pictures of it out yet. They usually start coming out 6 month befor the product hits the dealerships. This is due to have a greater numbere of units out testing in different climates befor the final offical reveiling of the product.
