Another usage question: whine from rear

I've had my FEH since the end of March now and I love it more every time I drive it. 8400+ miles on it, absolutely terriffic performance and mileage in the mountains of MT on a recent summer trip.

Since about 700 miles, I've noticed the following. When I'm turning sharply left or right and accelerating fairly strongly, I hear what sounds like a kid's toy train coming from the rear. When I took it in for the oil change/battery air filter thing, they couldn't replicate it but told me it was the traction motor. Can't find anything about this on the web. Anyone else noticed this or had one of your techs comment?
