acceleration

just took delivery of new camry..great car but is it just me that i find the acceleration not the same as ordinary gas powered cars..it seems slower....as the driver that is what it feels like but as a passenger the pickup felt normal...just asking

I drove two mini-vans over the last 18 years and they have zero acceleration. The Camry is very perky as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah the Camry dont have much of an acceleration or responsive steering. I had my mind set on getting the Camry Hybrid at first. Love the way it looks and was off to the dealership to test drove but then I decided to stop by the Nissan Dealership and test drove the Altima Hybrid for kicks. I enjoyed the test drive. I figured the Camry would be the same or better but I was dissapointed. The Camry was slugish, thats why I ended up gettting the Altima Hybrid instead. Both cars looks great but the Altima is a bit more sporty.

If I press gas pedal harder, it shakes a little bit before gas engine kicks in.
