70-75 Mph?

Created October 13, 2007, at 11:33 am by enriqrez

Hi, I am considering to purchase a Camry Hybrid, and I have a question.....

What is the mpg this car gets while one is driving about 70 to 75 mph, I'd like to know because I live in an area in which the only way to get around, is to take the interstate..... What are some of the current TCH owners' experiences? with driving at these speeds?

I have not driven enough on the interstate to help, but I constantly drive on the hwy at 55 to 65 mph and I am getting 39 to 40mpg.

I recently took a 650 mile trip on the interstate with cruise control set at 70MPH. I averaged 41.5 one way and 41.7 on the other.

When I drive agressively (75 mph +) I've never gotten lower than 35 mpg.

I get better mileage on the interstate on a trip at higher speeds than I do driving to work at varying speeds.

I have to agree with wastingtime, I drive about 75 - 80 and I am getting between 33 - 35 mpg. My right foot has two positions all the way up or all the way down. The best I got on the highway was around 47 mpg, I was trying to get the best mpg I could.
