2005 Accord Hybird IN-OP MPG indicator

own a 2005 Accord Hybird. at 40k miles the "MPG indicator" went out. the area no longer has a read-out of any kind. has anyone experienced this? if so, does the entire circuit board need to be replaced or is there a less expensive option? thanks!

The same thing just happened to me at 66000 miles. My service repair shop couldn't figure it out (it was not a Honda shop). Did you find out anything more about the problem?
