Great to hear of another American car offrering hybrid tech. I really like having no premium sales price which is a big incentive to me. Now if they'd just increase the size of the car back to something like the recent stretched Town Car all of us could sit in any seat front or back and have leg and head room. Loved our stretched Town Car that regularly got 26 mpg highway and is still better mileage than many new cars on the road today. I'll have to look at this one (though small) but anything has got to beat our Toyota.

If a person can't afford them, because of the economy, they aren't going to buy them. If you raise the gas prices where people can't afford to go the work --they're not going to buy them. Have the hybrids ready so when the economy improves, they will be there and the people will buy them. Hybrids and electric cars will save people money and I don't know anyone who can't use some extra money, especially if that extra money is coming from not having to buy that expensive gas all the time or that much.

Lincoln MKZ sales are not so big - 1,500 per month. A competing Lexus HS 250h has sales of 1,000 per month as well. So, yeah it is reasonable to expect sales of around 1,000 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid per month. Anyway Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is a good news - it increases Hybrids market offering and it will definitely increase Hybrid market share.
