While those are just *claims* for the time being, Ford has not historically failed to deliver on those claims. (For example, they actually underpromised on the Fusion Hybrid.)

This car has lot more space than Prius Liftback and is just few hundreds more. It can compete with both Liftback and V model. With Lithium battery, its raising the bar. Finally there is a competition for Prius.

Hope GM, Hyundai & Nissan also launch similar small Hybrid wagon.

Remember, Ford is the first company whose Fusion Hybrid overtook Camry Hybrid in both mileage and sales. Hope Ford does the same with C-Max as well and this will take Hybrid sales much higher in the Hybrid Dashboard.

It is only slightly visually more appealing to me than the Prius. However, Prius owners are a stubborn bunch and extremely loyal. ;) Ford has their work cut out for them to earn some of the Prius owners their direction.
