Ford’s Fusion Hybrid has been named U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hybrid Car for Families.
This is the fourth year in a row the hybrid version of the Fusion receives this recognition.
The award is said to be based on professional automotive reviews, safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo volume, and the availability of family-friendly features.
Finalist in the hybrid cars are the Lexus GS Hybrid and the Honda Accord Hybrid.
According to the U.S. News & World Report’s team, the 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid offers an impressive portfolio of driver-assist and convenience technologies based on sensors, cameras and radar that enable driver and passengers to enjoy a more relaxed and comfortable experience on the road.
To determine the various award winners, the team considered 259 new vehicles currently on the market in the United States, dividing them in 19 automotive categories.
According to the EPA, the 2015 Fusion Hybrid gets 44 mpg city, 41 mpg highway.
