Lets see, 23 Kwh will provide an 80 mile range if it gets 3.5 miles per kwh. So yet again we get an EV with an inadequate range - should have 42 or more kwh of storage for a pure EV. And the price is $K10,000 too high, should be 29,000, not 39,000.

So yet another maker of gas engines brings a joke to market. Now we have the Volt, Leaf, and Focus all focused on a greener than thou niche market.

If part of the rationale for electric cars is weaning ourselves off foreign oil, then why does the Focus use batteries from LG? We’ve got a home-grown battery supplier in A123–why not use those?

Range anxiety. Plug-ins are the transition vehicle until batteries improve a little bit more or charging stations pop up everywhere....
