This is so stupid. It places a burden on electric cars that it does not place on ICE cars. I could have the quietest ICE on the planet and not need this noise maker. Have legislators not heard about the new idea of measuring the volume of a car and requiring ALL cars to meet a minimum sound level? How is discriminating against an EV fair at all?

It's a solution in search of a problem, if there were any increase in pedestrian accidents, it would have already happened with Prii prowling parking lots in EV mode.
