Interesting the article is talking about diesel sales beginning to catch on when their sales are still less than they were in 06. Meanwhile hybrid sales surpassed Diesels in 08 and have been gaining a greater share of the market ever since.

I’m pro-diesel vehicles. I like the European approach to smaller turbo-charged diesel engines. Now you can include Blue-tech technology to remove most of the particulate pollution making it one of the cleaner internal combustion engines around. Low sulfur diesel fuel is still too high priced but a gradual transition to more diesel vehicles will lead refiners to producing more of this type of fuel bringing down prices.
