The ‘$249 lease’ that they offered was too good a deal to pass up. Of course, good luck actually finding a Prius II that the dealer hasn’t done ‘something’ to.

So far, I’m delighted. I was driving a 2007 Ford Focus (2 door hatchback), and could never budge the MPG above about 32MPG. So far, the trip computer says I’m getting 60MPG +/-, but I’m not going to believe that, since it came with over 100 miles, and I drove it 100 miles before I RTFM and figured out how to reset it, and only have 300 miles of my own on it (and reading half a tank). I’ll need at least three refills to establish realistic mileage on my spreadsheet, and it will take for-bloody-ever to burn that much gas.

Consumers that have had the recall work completed are still reporting issues. Toyota needs to put this issue behind them by making sure the fix is right. The longer this goes, the more harm to their brand which took years to create.
