Amidst talks of recalls and settlements, General Motors posted its best June earnings since 2007, and of these, sold 1,777 Chevy Volts.
That put the carmaker down 34.1 percent compared to June 2013, and contrasts with Nissan’s Leaf being up 5.5 percent for the same period.
The Volt has been holding steady at this lower rate, and last month sold 1,684 units.
Calendar year to date, GM has sold 8,615 Volts. Nissan by contrast has sold 12,736 Leafs.
