Chevrolet Volt sales were steady as she goes last month, with 1,380 units sold.
This compares to 1,313 in July, is down 45 percent from August 2014’s 2,511, and mirrors a similar pattern for the Nissan Leaf.
Both cars are to one degree or another in lame-duck status, awaiting improved replacements.
This is especially true of the Volt which since May has seen orders open in California for the all-new 2016 model.
First deliveries are expected this fall, says the automaker, and at that point we may see an upsurge in numbers for the extended-range EV.
