Camry Hybrid Pays for Itself
Oct. 22, 2006: The Syracuse Post-Standard
Summary: I’m ambivalent about the Toyota Prius, but not the Camry Hybrid.
While I can argue about the relatively high cost of the Prius, for some reason the cost of the Camry Hybrid makes sense.
Maybe that’s because Camrys have been part of the landscape for years, while the Prius is still a relative newcomer. And because the cost of a Camry XLE can easily go well into the mid-$30,000 range, while the price of a fuel-sipping Camry Hybrid can easily be kept in the mid- to high-$20,000 area.
