Ethanol is something that everyone should be thinking about. I think that we all should try to to switch to ethanol.

Ethanol is still in the early stages. No other alternative fuel has anywhere near the available refueling stations. I’d like to see a car maker combine a flex fuel engine with an electric engine like the electric/gas hybrids. If they would do this in a small economy car they could sell in enough numbers to put a greater demand for ethanol nationwide. With enough demand distributors would find a way to get it where they could sell to consumers. Even if I end up paying a little more for fuel I’d be fine with that knowing it’s no longer going to a bunch of terrorist.

Hybrid cars are a waste of money. At this point, the fuel isn’t really renewable. You have to use friggin’ fossill fuels to make biodeisel.

A major concern for myself is the vast amount of water used in the growing processing and actually used in the creation of ethanol fuels. Increased irrigation is already spreading east from Nebraska and is tapping the water sources of the region.
