Summarising it: minimum consumption and pollution. By the way: today’s Diesel engines are more environment friendly than most of fuel driven engines.

The V60 is a Diesel car, so when the battery rans out the car runs on Diesel!..This is really dirty and sad…!

The only reason the manufacturers sell Diesel engines, is that Europe need to quickly reduce the Co2 emissions..IN Sweden there they get a reduced tax when the Co2 emissions are below 120g/km Co2..but the rest of the emissions are forgotten! This means that the emissions on Co2 are reduced but the Nox, HC and particles are totally forgotten!
